Gowna 4.10 Ramor United 1.12

Gowna proved too strong for an under strength Ramor United in this end of season league clash in Ramor Park on Sunday last 31.10.04.

Ramor opened brightly and were four points clear after twenty minutes. Gowna responded with two late first half goals to leave the half-time score line Gowna 2.7 Ramor 0.9. A feature of this half was the two points scored by halfback Daragh Sheridan with left and right.

The second half saw the stronger Gowna players impose themselves more on the game and the heavyweights McCabe, Paddy Brady, Ciaran Brady and the Hartens physical presence opened up the Ramor defence and a couple of goals put the game beyond Ramor's reach in the final quarter. Previous to this young Ramor forward Alan Farrelly had the ball in the Gowna net leaving only two points between the sides.

The home side can take some positives from this game with a few good minor displays.
