Swanlinbar win the points Swanlinbar 1-17 ………………… Ramor United 1-14 Conditions couldn't have been better for this division 2 clash between Ramor and Swanlinbar in St. Marys park. Ramor who were topping the table in recent times, were hoping to consolidate their position, but the west Cavan side started to show some of the form when they were in division one last year and ran out comfortable winners. Ramor had the advantage of a strong wind in the first half and when Robbie Prior opened the scoring for the home side in the third minute, the visitors set about giving Swanlinbar a roasting, and by the 24th minute were 0-9 to 0-2 ahead. The points came in the 6th minute with a 50 metre score from Philip Kermath. A minute later, Padraig Hughes added another. In the tenth minute Paddy McNamee was on target and a minute later R. Prior pointed a free. The next six points all came for Ramor from : Ronan Keating, Paudraig Hughes, Gareth Daly, Paddy McNamee, Philip Kermath and Maurice Murphy. At this stage Swanlinbar had made some changes to try and stem the flow and by half-time had reduced the deficit to four points with scoring from Robbie Prior (2) and Ruari Mc Barron. Half time score Ramor Utd. 0-9 Swanlinbar 0-5 From the re-start, and with the wind in their favour, it was Swanlinbar who dominated matters and by the tenth minute had levelled the score, with scores from Robbie Prior (2) and Adrian McGoldrick and Rurai McBarron. By the 12th minute Ramor were in the driving seat again with points from Brian Brady and Paddy McNamee. In the 13th minute, Adrian McGoldrick was on target and a minute later Gareth Daly responded. In the 16th minute Swanlinbar took the lead for the first time with a goal from Pauric McGovern and by the 24th minute had added five points from Kevin Brennan, Paul Prior, R.Prior (2) and Paudraig Leydon to just one by Martin Tynan. In the 25th minute Philip Kermath pulled back one from a free. In the 28th and 29th minutes Swanlinbar had gone six points clear through R.McBarron and R.Prior.
